season 1//episode 12: season one finale

Hello friends,

I hope you are having such a wonderful day today. It is Tuesday, which used to be my least favorite day. I reasoned that when Monday comes, you are full of energy and ready to take on the week. By Tuesday, you’re feeling a little tired, but the weekend is far away and you don’t have a lot to look forward to except for thinking about how you’ll make it through the week.

I’ve since matured and can enjoy a Tuesday with the best of them, but every now and then I still get a little like Eeyore on Tuesday. Part of the reason why this podcast releases on Tuesdays is because I wanted to brighten up an otherwise somewhat drab day. :)

I’m not sure why I shared all of that with you friends, but I do want to talk to you about the state of this podcast. I have so enjoyed getting to share with you in this way. Podcasting has been so fun for me because I love to communicate through words, whether written or spoken. My hope and goal with this podcast is to share the truth of God’s word with those who need encouragement and a friend that says, “Hey, you’re not alone.”

So many of us are walking around with hard and heavy things that we carry that are invisible to others but very real to us. This first season, we took a look at some of the lies we are prone to believe about God. As we walked through these lies and considered what they mean in light of the truth of God’s word, I hope you were encouraged to consider what you may have wrongly believed about who God is. When we consider our beliefs about God, it can be really easy to get off track when we listen to our experiences and allow them to shape our perspective on who He is. Instead, we need to  hold up our experiences against the light of His word and allow Him to help us sift through the untruths we may have taken away from situations that have shaped us.

In this season of life, I have three kids and very full days. I also write, speak, and coach. I am not able to produce a weekly podcast consecutively without breaks. That being said, I am coming back for season 2 and you can look for that to drop in your podcast feed this summer, most likely in June!

In the meantime, I would love to hear from you! I want your honest feedback about what you have enjoyed (or even not enjoyed) about season 1. Do you love the teaching podcasts or do you want more interviews? Is there anything you really want me to talk about? Is there anyone you would like me to try to interview that you would like to learn from?

In the show notes, there is a link to a survey form that I would love for you to complete. One person who completes the survey will win a free coaching session from me! I am so excited about what is in store for season 2 and I can’t wait to continue to serve you in this way!

Talk to you soon, friends!
