#write31days: Truth to Hold Onto, Pt. 4
Today we are going to look at verses that challenge us to encourage others and rejoice with them. Oftentimes encouraging someone who we are jealous of is the last thing we want to do. It is easy to sit in a myopic view and think about how we are the ones who need encouragement instead of doing all that we can to give it away to others. But the beauty about encouraging someone else is that it takes the focus off of you and points to your friend. The act of speaking life over someone else helps shed light on what is true and what is worth celebrating. Let's continue to champion one another, shall we?
Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.- 1 Thessalonians 5:11
May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.- Romans 15:5-6
Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice! - 1 Chronicles 16:10
Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart! - Psalm 32:11
The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, and good news refreshes the bones.- Proverbs 15:30
Now the time came for Elizabeth to give birth, and she bore a son. And her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had shown great mercy to her, and they rejoiced with her.- Luke 1:57-58
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. - Romans 12:12-15
But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.- 1 Corinthians 12:24-26
