February Goals

Friends, if I'm being totally honest, I have to tell you that I have been kind of embarrassed and avoiding writing this post. I didn't make as much progress toward my January goals as I would like, so I had a self-defeating attitude and didn't even want to look at my Powersheets to see all that I had not accomplished. But then I remembered that I am called to choose grace and progress over perfection. I've gotten a lot done in the last month or so, and I've also enjoyed a lot in the last couple months. So I'm not going to hate on myself because God has given me the time I need to get done exactly what I need to get done, and I can write in pencil and know that He's got it!

I realized that earlier this year, I shared my 2017 goals with you, but I didn't share my January goals! Oops! It's a little too late for that, but let me just tell you that my February goals are pretty much the same. Ha. I have not made progress as quickly as I would like to, but I've been able to do some things that weren't even on my list, including writing the very first, very rough draft of my next book. :)

The Nitty Gritty

In January I was able to start working out again in the mornings, and I greatly enjoyed that. I stayed away from dairy as much as I could and felt so much better. A few weeks ago I took a risk and wrote about some health problems I've been struggling with and found great comfort and encouragement from you, my reader friends. :) One Saturday I pounded out the very rough beginnings of what will be my second book

What I Was Grateful for in January

My best friends and I were able to reunite in Seattle for a trip I'll always remember. I blogged regularly and found that this community of readers is oh so loving and kind, always. Rory and I decided to do another round of the Whole 30 and I planned out all of our meals and got pretty pumped about it. :) I also started an incredible new Bible study called Covenant, which was a huge answer to prayer, and some friends and I are meeting on Monday nights to pray for one another and keep each other accountable.
