Write 31 Days

First of all, where did September go?! I cannot believe that it is already October. October is quite easily my favorite month, and I am anxious for all that it holds this year. It may seem crazy to begin a new writing challenge after just completing another one, but I am so excited about this exercise. On Saturday, I was so inspired and encouraged to be around women who understood one another's desires to make much of the Lord through writing. This day was an incredibly life-giving day-one that I will not forget. Each October, Myquillin Smith, otherwise known as The Nester, hosts a 31 day writing challenge. The topic is yours to choose, and with the itch to continue writing consistently, I decided to take part this year.

I've written about how the Lord has given me a desire to see women come together. It has been amazing to see how He has given me the avenues to be around groups of women in varied life stages. The opportunity to learn from older women while also pouring into younger women has been a privilege that I do not take for granted. This October, I will be writing about how women can pursue the characteristics of the Proverbs 31 woman. Some of you may read that and cringe, thinking, "That's that chapter in the Bible that tells you how to be perfect and then makes you feel awful for falling short." Fear not, friends, we are going to attack this Scripture and learn about what it means for all of us- single or married, young or old. I sure hope you'll join me. I'm so excited to have you along. If there's anything you want me to touch on during these 31 days, feel free to tell me in the comments below! I am so looking forward to taking this journey with you.
