Tuesday ten: on year 25
Almost one year ago, I wrote a post that included a list of 25 things I wanted to do in my 25th year. I'm proud to say that most of them were accomplished, and a few were edited. Next Tuesday, I will be 26 (Time, please stop moving along so quickly!) and I wanted to look back on some of the amazing things that have happened throughout this last year. Time truly does fly by faster and faster the older you get. I'm glad the Lord is teaching me to value time right now. I'm by no means an expert, but it seems as though the lessons for the value of time are everywhere if you take the time to look. So without further adieu, here's my top ten moments of year 25, in no particular order:
1. In my 25th year, I had the privilege and honor of being a part of two weddings for dear friends, Mrs. Teresa Robison, and Mrs. Lyndsey Lovern. Teresa and I have known each other since we were about 16, growing up together in the Piedmont {Baptist} Church youth group. Lyndsey and I were friends all through college, meeting our freshman year in a BCM {Baptist Collegiate Ministries} small group.

2. Just a couple months after my 25th birthday, I bought a car. It was the single most freeing and terrifying day of my life. Ha. I exaggerate. But it really was scary, and I would have crumbled under the salesman's tactics had it not been for my amazing father.
3. In October, my roommate Rebekah and I moved from a duplex in Five Points to a house on the East Side. I used to say I would never live on the East Side of Athens. Now what do I say? We love it. Same rent for a house three times the size sounds not so shabby to me.
4. In the past year, I've been able to nurture some new friendships begun when I moved back to Athens, and it has been so great to get to know different people and spend time with them-learning and doing new fun things together.

5. Pending a signed contract, I will begin a new job in my 26th year. But the entire journey to get there was in my 25th year. More to come on that, but I am super excited and will share more soon. :)
6. This little space has meant so much to me through the years, and I am so glad that I took the time and discipline to resurrect it and give it a little TLC. Blogging has become a hobby that I enjoy and hope to continue to craft and hone through time.
7. There have been a few ways I've been able to dig deeper into the Word, and I have absolutely loved that. It has been amazing to see how God uses time in His word to strengthen me. I may not always linger as I would like to or should, but it is always worth it when I do.

8. Boy, have I been the bookworm in this past year. In a couple weeks (hopefully, don't hold me to it) I will post a complete list of the books I've read in this year. I have loved falling in love with reading again.
9. While I did not run a full marathon, I was able to complete two half marathons. It's the same distance as a marathon, these just happened to be months apart. :)
10. And last but certainly not least, I loved going to a jillion concerts through this year. I love am obsessed with music, and it was so amazing to see some of my favorites live- Keith Urban, Michael Buble, and John Mayer to name a few. Discovering new artists was also a great adventure. :)
So there you have it- my top moments of year 25. Who knows what year 26 will old? I don't know if I'll make another list, but I know I will continue to savor the life that the Lord has so graciously given to me.
